John's Testimony

I was born into a family of abuse in Richmond Virginia. I was adopted at the age of five along with my brother Tom, who was three. My adopted Dad, also named John, was a very conservative Presbyterian minister who loved God. Along with his wife, Marian, they brought my brother and me up in the ways of the Lord. Dad was a concert pianist, and Mom had a beautiful operatic-style soprano voice. So, music was a big part of my upbringing. I took piano lessons, and at the age of nine I got my first guitar.

In my teen years I went with the youth group of our church to Word of Life snow camp in upper New York state. That is where I fell under the conviction of the Holy Spirit from the preaching of Jack Wyrtzen and Harry Bollback. It was there that I asked Jesus to save me from my sins, and He did!

Over the next few years I grew in the Lord, but after marrying and leaving home and entering the Air Force, I grew farther and farther apart from God. I was using my talent for music, but not for God anymore. I stopped going to church and found myself out of Fellowship with Him. But He sought me out and allowed circumstances to bring me to repentence. So, in 1984 I asked for forgivenes and surrendered to His will for my life, and began living a life dedicated to serving Him.

Since that day I have enjoyed writing songs and singing for Jesus! Nothing in life is more fulfilling to me than to be used by God in ministry. I thank Him every day for my beautiful wife, Frankie, whom I met in 1987. She sings beautiful harmony, everyone says that we blend well together. She is my best friend, and it is very rare that we are not together. We work together, play together, and serve God together. We both love the same sports and activities.

GOD IS SOOOOO GOOD!!!!

Frankie's Testimony

At the age of eight, while attending an evening service at church,I came under the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. I remember the preaching that night, and feeling so convicted of my sin. The thing that impressed me the most was that Jesus loved me enough to die for me, and yet I felt so undeserving of His love. I went forward and asked Him to forgive me, and to be my Savior.

I grew up in a musical family so I was singing harmonies from as long back as I can remember. I first sang solos in church around the same time that I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, when I was 8 or 9 years old. It was a cappella, because the pianist couldn't play in my key. I was so shy that I couldn't carry on a conversation with most people but I could sing anytime. I was touched by music and the words of the old hymns were like Bible lessons to me. My Daddy and I played guitars and sang together through the years. I miss him so - he was a wonderful example for me. As time passed by though, my singing nearly became a thing of the past and my life went in a different direction, but God had wonderful plans for me. He never forget me though sometimes it looked like I forgot Him.

John Finney, the love of my life, came along one day in 1985. He played guitar and sang like an angel. I told him I wasn't interested in a serious relationship and he said he wasn't either. So.. after 2 years of spending a lot of time together we were married. My life has been so wonderful with John.

I Thessalonians 2:19 For what is hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when He comes? Indeed, you are our glory and joy.
